September 24th and 25th Class Critiques

Twenty six students attended our pipeline classes on September 24th and 25th.  Comments from the students included the following:

• Really enjoyed the discuss on design versus engineering.
• The detail in this section was great.  Definetly understand more a about leak dection now.
• The videos were great.  They really helped explain the construction process.
• I have not heard this term (scada) until today, but we utilze this style system for our hydrotesting.
• Great section!  Prob one of my favs so far. Great pics & vids. - about Construction.
• Great explaination of communication path and scada info.
• Great expl;aination for someone who does not know economics.
• Never learned about scada before.  This was a great introduction.

• Good section for after lunch.  Full of good information, plus allows for more "story telling"
• Videos spaced during the day helped supplement and break up content.
• Good job going piece by piece and having photos to show the equipment.
• Great intro for myself into pipeline integrity.
• This was a great section for me being in tghe comms department - about Regulations
• I liked all the pictures and examples.
• This was great and covered all relevant regs.
• Great level of details, very helpful overview of the industry - about Introduction to Oil and Gas Pipelines
• I did not konw about this topic at all.  It really helped me have a better understanding. - about Control Room Operations
• This section had great information as to why pipeilnes fail.  This can help to explain reasoning for failures during hydrostatic testing.  - about Integrity 1
• Straight and to the point.  This previous section was a great introduction. - about Integrity 2
• Again, the amout of detail was great.  It was technical enough but not too technical. - about Integrity 2
• This section was very informative.  I liked the videos.
• I actually work with these 2 departments - but this section really helped me understand it better. - about Control Room Operations
• it was great to see someone sharing his khnowledg to others - calmly done!
• Putting it in simple terms at the beginning helped. - about Hydraulics
• Videos priceless!
• Helped fit the other topics together into this topic.
• Great to see driectional drilling.  Answers a lot of questions I had.
