June 14 Hazardous Liquids Control Room Training Class Evaluation

June 14th, PKD will present a preview of its instructor facilitated, video based, Hazardous Liquids Control Room Training in Houston.  

Complimentary Registration

PKD is offerring a limited number of complimentary registrations for evaluation purposes.  Complimenetary registration is available to one employee per pipeline operating company. The preview will be presented at the Houston Training and Conference Center, 480 N Sam Houston Pkwy E, Suite 270, Houston, TX.

  • 8:30 - 8:45 - Introductions and kick off.
  • 8:45 - 11:00 - Hydraulics and Hydraulic Tools (with break at appropriate time)
  • 11:00 - 12:15 - Central Control Room Operations
  • 12:15 - 1:00 - Lunch
  • 1:00 - 1:30 - Scada and Controls
  • 1:30 - 3:00 - Advanced Operational Hydraulics
  • 3:00 - 3:15 - Break
  • 3:15 - 4:30 - Abnormal Operations

Objective and Prerequisites

At the completion of this class students will have an in depth understanding of the following hydrauilc tools and concepts:

  • Systems resistance curve
  • Hydraulic gradient
  • Line profile
  • Pump curves
  • Operating point
  • Control point
  • Control room processes
  • Abnormal operations 

There are no prerequisits, but a basic understanding of oil pipeline equipment and operations is helpful.
