June 14th, PKD will present a preview of its instructor facilitated, video based, Hazardous Liquids Control Room Training in Houston.  

Complimentary Registration

PKD is offerring a limited number of complimentary registrations for evaluation purposes.  Complimenetary registration is available to one employee per pipeline operating company. The company must operate hazardous liquids control rooms, and the person must work in the training or control room organization.  To request a complimentary registration please click here and send an e-mail or call Tom Miesner at 281-467-3200.  Regisration forms will be sent to those selected to attend.

Objective and Prerequisites

At the completion of this class students will have an in depth understanding of the following hydrauilc tools and concepts:

  • Systems resistance curve
  • Hydraulic gradient
  • Line profile
  • Pump curves
  • Operating point
  • Control point
  • Control room processes
  • Abnormal operations 

There are no prerequisits, but a basic understanding of oil pipeline equipment and operations is helpful.
